Who Owns You and your Citizenship?

Note: I began this about three year ago but never finished it.  I just came across it and decided to complete it.  It centers on a case that has already gone through the court system fully so it pre-dates the results of the appeals process. ~

The Oregon couple who were fined $135,000 for being unwilling to bake a cake finally surrendered to Big Brother God-Government and wrote out a check to pay for their transgression against the gay-gestapo running the government in Oregon, giving up their constitution-protected right of freedom of religion and conscience, -the very foundation of the colonies of America.

But it was even worse than that, because they refused to pay the fine until their appeal was heard, the government seized all of the money they held in a United States licensed banking facility.

The Kleins, owners of Sweet Cakes by Melissa, had asked the state to postpone collecting the fine while they continued the appeal process. But just weeks before Christmas, the state labor commissioner who brought the case against them seized their bank accounts.

According to Todd Starnes of Fox News, the confiscation wiped out nearly $7,000 of the family’s funds.
Money raised through donations to help pay the fine was held in a separate account.

Their attorney said the couple had asked the state to hold off on collection attempts – but that request was denied.

Although they’ve now paid the fine, the couple does not intend to stop fighting the state over its judgement of discrimination. The case is one of several involving Christian owners of wedding-related businesses that could end up before the U.S. Supreme Court.  cont. here  and here: http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2015/12/29/bakers-forced-to-pay-more-than-135g-in-lesbian-cake-battle.html

Oregon now has a law that prohibits private businesses from discriminating against potential customers or any reason whatsoever, with the State’s autocratic enforcer (Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian) later determining that gay rights trump religious liberty, – ruling that the Kleins had violated the lesbians’ civil rights by discriminating based on sexual orientation.

LGBTQIA supporters are attempting to silence all dissent, and Brad Avakian “sounds like a pretty ruthless individual – a person who is using his office to bully and intimidate Christians.”

The action of the government provokes a question of ownership.  If the government can ‘rightfully’ confiscate every legally earned penny you have in this world then it virtually owns you and everything that you call your own.  This ownership is couched in the guise of legitimate authority to fine people for offenses against society or government, -but in this case without regard to proportionality or fairness.

How much does a wedding cake cost and how many minutes would it have taken to obtain an agreement to bake one from another baker?  Both answers are insignificantly small.  (How much would the law care if someone was accused of stealing a wedding cake?  In many jurisdictions they might not even take such a report because the ‘value’ of the stolen item would be minuscule.  Not like a stolen car.)

Could any government rightfully ‘fine’ a thief $135,000 for stealing a wedding cake?  See the lack of proportionality between the size of the fine as compared to the value of the object?  No relation.  A ‘proper’ fine might be in the tens of dollars if even that.  So how could a government mandate a ‘fine’ of such a size as to strip the ‘offender’ of every penny he owns?

There is only one answer, and it is that the government owns everyone. And everything that they own is subject to confiscation if the government’s will is not complied with. That’s because when one is owned then all that they think they own is actually owned by their owner.  Did slaves actually, legally own their personal possessions?  Or did their slave owner own everything?  You know the answer.

So in the eyes of the autocratic, tyrannical ideologues in power you do not own yourself because if someone can take all that you own (under the pretense of requiring a legitimate fine) then he owns your livelihood and your ability to defend your unalienable right to the property you’ve acquired and require to sustain your life.

In the final analysis, he who has power over your right to own your own property has power over the sustainability of your life.  And in the real world that translates into being your de facto owner, and that ownership is not only demonstrated in such a ‘civil fine’ scenario but is confirmed in the death tax scenario.

What is the basis for government to confiscate any portion of the life-long accrued wealth of a man if he owes the government nothing?  The answer is obviously that the government has no such right!
But if the government claims such a right based merely on the fact that the man has lost his battle with age and has expired, and that fact alone (his death) entitles the government to confiscate a significant portion of his wealth which rightfully belongs to his heirs, then you know that the real basis for such an authority is that the government actually considers his wealth to belong to it.

And since there is no cosmically defined limit on the quantity that the government can take, it is surmisable that the government can just as easily declare that it has the right to take everything.  In which case one must redefine what it means to be “free” if the government feels it has a right to own and take everything that one has earned throughout their life.

Such a view would indicate that the government secretly feels it owns everyone and everything that they think they own, although it benevolently allows people to retain some of what it feels that it alone ‘owns’ in order to maintain a pretense of freedom and individual ownership.

If the government holds the ultimate power over everyone to such a degree that it can take possession of all that one owns, including via ‘civil asset forfeiture’ without any accusation, arrest, prosecution, conviction, and sentence, then one is at best a lowly ‘subject’ of King Government and at worst a slave.  Or an indentured servant for life.

So, if the government owns us to such an extent, then what about our ‘citizenship’?  Does the government also own the authority over our national membership?  Can it ‘confiscate’ our citizenship by cancelling it?  Can it, at its whim, confiscate our passports if it so chooses?  Including when we are abroad?  How would such an authority not, in effect, strip us of our national membership since we would be permanently deprived of the ability to re-enter our own country?  Does the government have a legitimate authority over our citizenship?

The answer is simple.  Natural membership is one of the fundamental building blocks of all social animal kingdoms, including the human kingdom.  It is the central foundation stone without which no such society can exist.
It is based on blood connection via procreation.
It is based on a mother’s and father’s right to own their own offspring, and the right of their offspring to belong to them and not to others.
Natural membership can NEVER be undone anymore than family membership can be undone.
No one owns ones ‘right’ to be a member of their own family and no authority can change what organically is.
Family membership and national membership are based on the same principle because they both spring from the same source; blood connection.  If both of your parents are members of a nation then you are automatically a new member at birth because you are the blood inheritor of their membership.  You are born naturally belonging to whatever national group they belong to and no authority can change that.

Congress once, for a long time, thought otherwise but was finally slapped down via an opinion of the Supreme Court in Afroyim v Rusk.  Its implication was that once possessed, U.S. citizenship is non-revocable,…unless obtained fraudulently by deceit which is essentially self-nullifying.

So who owns your citizenship?  You? -or the Government?  It’s the same person who owns your life.  Do you own your own life?  Or are you a wimpy socialist who wants to forever be the property of Big Daddy Government that will sustain you from the cradle to the grave?
With far too many people the answer is actually the latter, and that is why we are travelling the highway to ruination.  -to dictatorship.  -to enslavement.  But in today’s world that highway is disguised as the highway to salvation.  Salvation from ‘Global Warming’.
That train has left the station but hopefully not enough people have gotten on board because where it wants to go is not where you want to follow unless you look forward to become a serf under a new aristocratic elitist oligarchy.
