The first part of the paragraph from the White House website reads:

“In 2008, in response to media inquiries, the President’s campaign requested his birth certificate from the state of Hawaii. The state sent the campaign the President’s birth certificate, the same legal documentation provided to all Hawaiians as proof of birth in state, and the campaign immediately posted it on the internet.”

This date stamp issue [it’s barely visible but is stained through the paper background from the backside, -thus it’s backwards appearing] was raised before in the past but Factcheck claimed this:
“We asked the Obama campaign about the date stamp and the blacked-out certificate number. The certificate is stamped June 2007, because that’s when Hawaii officials produced it for the campaign, which requested that document and “all the records we could get our hands on” according to spokesperson Shauna Daly. The campaign didn’t release its copy until 2008,…” -Source.
Now that the White House admits they ordered the short-form in 2008 how could the short-form COLB be issued by the state of Hawaii in 2008 when the actual date stamp on the short-form COLB is date stamped June 6th, 2007?

I just wanted to chime in here to point out something that I haven’t seen anywhere else yet. I found this out today while drafting a letter to a conservative writer. I had the URL for FightTheSmears.com’s birth-certificate article in my archive, and I went to it before pasting the link into my letter, and boy, was I surprised! I was redirected to a totally scrubbed webpage!

The new, redirected webpage has a very similar title, but it is COMPLETELY SCRUBBED of all relevant information and links. The new webpage just shows the alleged long-form birth certificate, states some garbage about “conspiracy theorists” trying to make people think that Obama “isn’t an American citizen”, and provides a means to donate to Obama’s 2012 campaign!

This is EXTREMELY SIGNIFICANT because the original FightTheSmears.com article was the official connection of Obama’s 2008 campaign to the FactCheck.org article stating that Obama had dual citizenship from birth to the age of twenty-one (21) years, later “corrected” to twenty-three (23) years! The original webpage quoted FactCheck.org under the headline “FactCheck.org Clarifies Barack’s Citizenship”.

FightTheSmears.com is still active without redirection in general, in fact, the original URL is STILL EMBEDDED in FightTheSmears.com’s list of articles!

What I do know is that it appears that Obama is cutting all connections with FactCheck.org. I talked about this with a friend after I noticed that the White House was providing a PDF of the alleged COLB, but not one of the “official” pictures from FightTheSmears.com or FactCheck.org. It is a low-quality black-and-white raster of a printout of a COLB image from Snopes!!

That struck me as very weird, and it didn’t take long for me to figure that they seemed to be cutting away from FactCheck.org and even the Obama campaign’s 2008 website, which would be important for disassociating from all previous claims, as if rewriting history.

When I was struck by what I found about the scrubbing and redirection of the FightTheSmears.com birth-certificate article, I was really becoming convinced about my earlier impression.

Obama is cutting ties with FactCheck.org.

While they once held up FactCheck as clarifying Obama’s citizenship history, they will drop them like a hot potato and everything that was claimed about Obama’s former British and Kenyan citizenship when the time comes.

NEW YORK – The White House’s release of an electronic copy of Obama’s long-form birth certificate instead of a certified paper copy raises questions in a 22-page criminal complaint with the FBI filed by an international expert in scanners and document-imaging software.

Doug Vogt’s complaint charges that individuals within the Hawaii Department of Health, Obama political operatives and an unidentified graphic artist worked in a multi-state conspiracy to create a fraudulent long-form birth certificate for Barack Obama.

He claims the long-form birth certificate the White House released April 27 as an electronic document in PDF format was forged from a composite of legitimate birth certificates obtained from the Hawaii DOH archives and manipulated to replace the original information with a fraudulent Obama birth record.

The White House has not explained how the copy of the Obama birth certificate released to the press in the White House press room was produced without the green hash-mark background [no background at all, without it no one can accuse the WH of producing a legal forgery since, being black&white without a security background, it is obviously not an official document, -but his point is that it is imossible to remove the page appearance from a scanned document].

Jack Cashill on the Maraniss Obama biography “The Story”

Maraniss concedes, these two young people shared very close to nothing. “In the college life of Barack Obama in 1961 and 1962,” writes Maraniss, “as recounted by his friends and acquaintances in Honolulu, there was no Ann; there was no baby.”

Although Maraniss talked to many of Obama Sr.’s friends, none of the credible ones ever so much as saw him with Obama’s mother, Ann Dunham.

One Obama friend, a Cambodian named Kiri Tith, knew the senior Obama “very well.” He had also met Ann through a different channel. “But he had no idea,” writes Maraniss, “that Ann knew Obama, let alone got hapai (pregnant) by him, married him, and had a son with him.”

Only Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie claims to have seen the pair together during the presumed courtship stage, but he is not close to credible.

“Maybe I’m the only one in the country,” Abercrombie told the Los Angeles Times in December 2010, “that could look you right in the eye right now and tell you, ‘I was here when that baby was born.’” This was pure lie, no other word for it.

A few days later, Abercrombie clarified to Mark Niesse of the Associated Press that he didn’t exactly see Obama’s parents with their newborn son at the hospital, but that he “remembers seeing Obama as a child with his parents at social events.” Another lie.

Maraniss should have quoted Abercrombie with the stated qualifier that he has proved unreliable on all things Obama, but he did not. Abercrombie was too important. Without Abercrombie, there is no contemporary witness to any kind of relationship. Maraniss, however, knew enough not to quote Abercrombie on his claim to having seen the baby with his parents.
